(TV_ VCR, and DVD player]
through
the receiver.
l'his receiver is eqaipped with the AV COMPU LINK-1II which adds a tbncfion to the Ivrevioas version in c_rdezto operate JVC's video
components through the video components terminaIs. 3b asc this remote control system, connect the video components you want to operate,
t'ollowing the diagrams below and the procedure on the next page.

You can only connect to the TV
with the AV COMPU LINK EX or

The AV COMPU LINK remote control system cannot control the DeS tuner.
• For RX.80_)VBK:Connect
the VCR to theVCR
1 jacks, Videc components
connected to theVIDEO
and VCR 2jacks on the receiver
cannot be controlled with the AV COMPU LINK remote control system.
Notes:
• When connecting the receiver and a TV with the AV COMPU LINK EX terminal by using a component
video cable, you cannot usa automatic
selection of TV'a input mode (see page 43).
• When connecting only the VCR or DVD player to this receiver, connect it directly to the receiver using cables with the monaural mini-plugs.

composite video, and component vide3, and the signals coming
into this receiver t_roagh one type of vide_ jacks can output only _roagh
the jack of the same type, So you need m connect the VCR and/or
DVD playu_ to the TV asing one ogthe following three ways:
• When using the AV COMPU LINK remote control system, set the component
video input for the IIVI) player and the DBS tuner
correctly
(see "Set-ringthe Component Video Input" on page 30); otherwise, the cc_rrect input for this receiver wiII not be selected on the

When connecting the source equipment to the receiver through the _video
jacks, connect this receiver
to the TV's Video Input 1 jack using S-video cables.
