Installation Instructions

Perform the following steps to install the scanner:
1. Place the scanner on a table or desktop not more than 6 feet from the
printer.
Place the scanner on the optional ScanCenter Stand with the two left
feet of the scanner in the cutouts on the left side of the tray.
WARNING!
When using the optional ScanCenter Stand, do not place the scanner on
the stand until the printer is in place and the entire unit is in the desired
location.
Do not move the stand when the scanner is on the tray. Always take the
scanner off of the stand when moving.
WARNUNG
Wenn Sie das optionale ScanCenter-Gestell verwenden, stellen Sie den
Scanner nicht darauf, bis der Drucker in seine Position gebracht ist und
sich die gesamte Geräteeinheit an der gewünschten Stelle befindet.
Verschieben Sie das Gestell nicht, wenn der Scanner darauf steht. Nehmen
Sie stets den Scanner herunter, bevor Sie das Gestell verschieben.

Attaching the Cables and Power Cord to the Scanner

Attach the cables to the scanner as follows:
1. Locate the Operator Control Panel (OCP) cable that is taped to the
side of the scanner and plug it into the OCP connector as shown in
the illustration on the following page.
2. Plug in the printer cable into the printer cable connector as shown in
the illustration on the following page.
