PREPARING
THE T OOL FOR U SE
Under normal
conditions,
the t ool
should be lubricated
before
connecting
the tool toan air s upply.
Add a ir t ool
lubricant
into t he male coupling
on the
tool once daily with m inimal
use, or
twice aday w ith h eavy use. Only a
few drops ofoil a tatime i snecessary.
Too m uch oil w ill only c ollect inside
the tool and w ill be noticeable
inthe
exhaust
cycle.
Before connecting
the tool, check the
air c ompressor
gauge tobe sure i tis
functioning
within the proper range of
70-120
PSI.
CONNECTmNG
THE T OOL TO AN AIR
SUPPLY
(See Figure 1)
NOTE: Air p ressure
that ishigher than
120 P SI may damage
the tool.
WARNING:
This tool isequipped
with a coupling
that discharges
all
the compressed
air i nthe t ool at t he
time t he f itting orhose coupling
is
disconnected.
Never equip this t oot
with a coupling
that does not discharge
the compressed
air w hen disconnect-
ed. An improper
coupling
could cause
unintended
operation
and s erious
personal
injury.
Connect
the t ool to the air s upply
with
a1/4" female
quick connector.
(See
Figure 1) A 3/8" female
quick connec-
tor m ay be used insituations
where a
1/4" suppty
line i snot available.
For
maximum
tool performance
a3/8"
supply
line a nd f ittings are required.
CAUTmON:
When connecting
or dis-
connecting
air h ose, air p ressure
may
cause the the hose coupling
tokick
back ifthe hose coupting
isnot firmly
seated
on too! coupling.
NOTE:
When hose is disconnected
from tool, snap the dust cap o ver the
tip of t he tool male coupling.

SETTING
THE A IR PRESSURE
The a mount
ofair p ressure
required
will depend
on the s ize o f t he nail and
the workpiece
material.
Begin testing
the depth of d rive
by driving atest nail into t he
same type o fworkpiece
material
used for t he actual job.
Drive atest nail with t he a ir p res-
sure s et at70-75 PSI. Raise or
lower the a ir p ressure
tofind t he
lowest setting
that will perform
the j ob with c onsistent
results.

1. Place the nail tip on the work-
piece atthe position
where you
want todrive itin.
2. Hold the nail inposition
with
your fingertips
on the shaft.
3. Place the nosepiece
down onto
the top of t he nail. Remove
the
fingertips
of y our other hand
from nail. (See Figure 2,Page
5).
WARNING:
To prevent
injury, DO NOT
push down on nailer until you r emove
your fingertips
from nail.
4. Push down on nailer to drive nail
into w orkpiece.
Keep the nail in
line w ith t he n osepiece
as the
nail isdriven.
