Press the scanner slightly against the document. Slowly
move the scanner over the document from top to bottom.
The available memory capacity will be indicated on the
display during copy procedure. The correct copy speed will
be indicated by short confirmation tones. If they appear too
fast, you will hear a warning signal indicating that the
scanning process of the document was not successful. Start
the copying again as described in 3 and 4.
After the scanning process is completed the document will
be printed if you press START or automatically after
approximately four seconds. Documents larger than A4 will
be split up into more than one page automatically. During
the printing process printed information will be simultane-
ously erased from the memory. Press STOP or CLEAR to
terminate printout. The scanned document will be erased
from the memory.
Place the scanning device face front into the fax machine
after use. Press both sides of the scanner down until you hear
a definite click.
In case the scanner was not put in correctly the indicator
lamp v flashes and on the display appears
Place the document in the document feed.
There are two ways you can call up the scan function:
Click on the LinkFax-Pro symbol on the right lower edge
of your screen. Select in the menu the command "scan".
Open the graphics program into which you wish to scan.
Select as source the Linkfax-Pro-Scanner driver.
The Linkfax-Pro-Scan window will open.
You can create a preview by using "page view". On this
preview, a section of the document can be selected which is
to be scanned. With preview, you can also try out the effects
of various adjustments (e.g. filter, etc.).
Select the desired scan settings.
If the document consists of several pages, click on "auto-
matic document feed".
Press the "Scan" command.
Once the scanning procedure is completed, the image of the
document can be stored.
If you click on the "Help" command, on-line help will
open.
