If the quality of printed documents deteriorates, the cartridge
should be cleaned and correctly aligned.
Select Function 48, by pressing MENU, 48 and OK.
Use u to select:
Confirm with OK.
To align the cartrige, select:
The fax machine prints out a test page with different values.
Select with u the value where the lines are parallel.
Press OK. At last the machine prints out another page for
confirmation.
If even now the printing quality is still not satisfactory, you need
to clean the cartridge manually:
Release the cartridge from its holder and clean the contacts
(A) with a dry, fluff-free cloth. Clean the nozzles (B) with a
damp cloth.
Clean the contacts of the holder before reinserting the
cartridge.
Never touch the nozzles and contacts with your
fingers!
Avoid shaking the cartridge because this could
damage your cartridge.
If your ink cartridge is empty and you are inserting a new one,
you should reset the copy counter.
Please only use this function when you are actually
inserting a new cartridge.
Select function 49, by pressing MENU, 49 and OK.
Use u to select:
Press OK.
Use u to select whether you wish to reset the counter.
Confirm again with OK.
