Preparing to Work Inside the Computer

Before you start to work on the computer, perform the following steps.
NOTICE: Failure to perform the following steps could result in damage to the computer.
NOTICE: If working inside your computer involves the removal of the palmrest, note this information about the
reserve battery. The reserve battery provides power to the computer's real-time clock (RTC) and nonvolatile
random-access memory (NVRAM) when the computer is turned off. Removing the palmrest disconnects the
