Keyboard Assembly

To remove the keyboard assembly, perform the following steps.
NOTICE: To avoid damaging the system board, remove the power cable, the battery, and the second battery (if
installed) before you service the computer.
NOTICE: Make sure that the work surface is clean to prevent scratching the computer cover.
1. Close the display assembly, and turn the computer upside down on a flat work surface.

3. Turn the computer right-side up and open the display.
NOTICE: The keycaps on the keyboard are fragile, easily dislodged, and time-consuming to replace. Be careful
when removing and handling the keyboard.
4. Release the keyboard from the palmrest assembly by inserting a small flat-blade screwdriver under the edge of the
blank key (see Figure 10), and lift the right edge of the keyboard.
