1. PRODUCT NAME

Hitachi Cordless Planer, Model P 20DA [82 mm (3-1/4")]

2. MARKETING OBJECTIVE

Portable cordless planers are in strong demand for light-duty work applications such as finish planing of
furnishings or timbering and planing for dimensional adjustment. Recently, there is further demand for a planer
with simple blade-height adjustment and improved operability. To satisfy such demands, the Model P 20DA was
developed as the first cordless planer in the popular 82 mm-class planers.
Although the cordless planers are below the AC-powered planers in some areas of performance such as power
and continuous run time, they have great merits in operability and handling because they require no AC power
source and have no trailing cord. The Model P 20DA is the industry's first cordless planer, so please hurry to
promote sales before other manufacturers' products enter the market.
