Remove a screw from each of the outside hinge cover slots and one from the

lower left of the keyboard frame.

Remove two screw covers on the back of the laptop, under each screw cover re-
move two screws.

Use your hands to carefully partially separate (do not try to totally separate at this
time) the LCD and top cover from the bottom base assembly.

Disconnect the Speaker Assembly cable from connector (CN403)
Disconnect the two LCD cables

It is now OK to totally separate the LCD and cover from the chassis assembly.
NOTE
If you choose to close the LCD screen at
this point, use caution to not damage the
subassembly.
