2. CONNECTION & OPERATION
CONNECTION: Connect the AC plug to an unswitched 120V AC power source only after all chargers are installed
in the adapter and the charger locking bar is secured.

4. CLEANING: Disconnect AC power. Do not use anykindof solvent or abrasive. Use only a waterdampened, soft
cloth to wipe the unit. Dry the unit before reconnecting AC power.
5. SERVICE
1. Retain your bill of sale as proof of purchase.
2. If an abnormal odor or smoke is detected, immediately disconnect the AC cord.
3. Determine if the trouble is a single charger cup or the KMB-28 power source. If the problem is a charger cup,
contact your dealer or Kenwood for charger cup replacement instructions.
4. Pack the defective KMB-28 in the original, or an equivalent box & packing. Include a note explainingthe reason
service is required. Provide your name, shippingaddress,phone number(s) & email address so that we may contact
you, if required.
5. Call for a return authorization number; 951.699.1270

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do not use the KMB-28 power source in high-temperature >35° C (95° F) or high humidity environments, in
direct sunlight, or near a heater.
2.
Do not subject this charger adapter to undue vibrations or physical impact.
3.
Make sure that the battery pack(s) or radios are properly installed and connected.
4.
Clean the charger adapter with a soft cloth.
5.
NEVER use solvents, such as thinner and benzene, for cleaning.

Kenwood Communications ("Kenwood") warrants its Land Mobile Radios & accessories as follows:
HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY
This Warranty will remain in effect for one (1) year for accessories, measured from the date of purchase by the first end user.
WHO IS PROTECTED
This Warranty is enforceable only by the first end user.
WHAT IS COVERED AND WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Except as specified below, this Warranty covers all defects in materials and workmanship in Kenwood Land Mobile Radios & accessories. The
following are not covered by the Warranty:
1. Damage, deterioration or failure resulting from:
A.
Accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorizedproduct modificationor failure to follow instructions contained in your Owner's
Manual.
B.
Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by Kenwood
C.
Installation of parts or accessories that do not conform to the quality or specifications of the original parts or accessories.
D.
Installation of the product in, or removal of the product from, the vehicle or other site of its use.
2. Damage or loss occurring during shipment of the product (claims must be presented to the carrier).
3. Any unit, which is not new when sold to the first end user or upon which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
