Preparation

5.1.1

Installing the "open-iscsi" package

Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) is used to set up the iSCSI environment in the Linux server.
Check that one of the following RPMs is installed. If not, install it.
For SLES10 SP2: open-iscsi-2.0.707-0.44.<Architecture name> or later
Installation execution example
# rpm -ivh open-iscsi-2.0.707-0.19.<Architecture_name>.rpm

Preparing the device-mapper multipath setup

Use the following Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) to set up the device-mapper multipaths. If
this RPM is not installed, install it.
device-mapper-1.02.03-8.2.<Architecture_name> or later
device-mapper-32bit-1.02.03-8.2.<Architecture_name> or later
multipath-tools-0.4.6-25.17.<Architecture_name> or later
Installation execution example
# rpm -ivh device-mapper-1.02.03-8.2.<Architecture_name> or later
