Set Server Discovery
The next step is to set the Server Discovery information. The types of Server Discovery are:

Server IP based discovery (preferred)
„
Server ID based discovery (deprecated)
„
Service Location Protocol (SLP) based discovery (if wifi-security-server service has been
configured)
Use the command set server discovery to point the Sensor to the correct Server.
Note
If IP/Hostname based discovery is being used and there is more than one Server on the
network, then you must enter the IP address of the appropriate Server.

Set Sensor Mode
The next step is to set the mode of the Sensor. See section Sensor Modes of Operation in the
HP ProCurve Manager and Sensors Management and Configuration Guide.
Use the set mode command to set the Sensor mode.

Configure Network Settings
Once the mode is set, you have to enable the Network Settings.
„
Sensor Only Mode: For this mode, use the command set ip config. This command runs
through the current VLAN and the IP config wizard.
