Service the air-cleaner filter only when the service indicator
requires it (Figure 25). Changing the air filter before it is
necessary only increases the chance of dirt entering the engine
when you remove the filter.

Important: Be sure that the cover is seated correctly
and seals with the air-cleaner body.
1. Replace the air cleaner (Figure 26).
Note: Do not clean the used element due to the
possibility of damage to the filter media.
Important: Never attempt to clean the safety filter
(Figure 27). Replace the safety filter after every 3
primary filter services.
