STANDBY BEEP

This function is to notify with a beep sound that transmission
has ended when a D-STAR signal is received.
1 Access Menu No. 645.
2 Select [Off] or [On].
[Off]: Does not sound the standby beep.
[On]: Sounds the standby beep.
Note:
◆ The standby beep volume can be changed in Menu No. 915.
◆ When the reception sound is muted by the Callsign squelch/
Code squelch, the standby beep does not sound.

REPEATER SCAN

This function is to scan digital repeaters among the repeater
list in DR mode.
1 Select [DR Scan] in the Digital Function Menu.
DR Scan screen appears.
2 Select an item and press [A/B].
[FROM] and MHz dot flash and scan starts in the
increasing direction of repeater numbers from the last
repeater. The scan direction can be changed with [ ]/[ ]
or [ENC] control.

Search for nearby repeaters (up to 20
repeaters) that are near your station (within
Nearby Repeaters
a range of 160 km (100 mi)) among D-STAR
repeaters.
Search for the repeaters that are
World Region
communicating among all D-STAR repeaters
that belong to the World Region.
Search for repeaters that are communicating
Country
among all D-STAR repeaters that belong to
the Country.
Search for repeaters that are communicating
Group
among all D-STAR repeaters that belong to
the Group.
3 Press [ENT].
Scan stops.
Note:
◆ Repeaters specified for Repeater Lockout can not be scanned.
◆ When scanning by [Nearby Repeaters], [Not Found] is
displayed if there is no repeater that can be used within the
range of 160 km (100 mi) from your station.
◆ [Nearby Repeaters] scan will not operate if GPS data is not
received.
◆ Even if GPS is not positioning, the transceiver searches for
nearby repeaters by the stored GPS data.

◆ If there is no more than one repeater registered in the repeater
list, a repeater scan can not be performed.

REPEATER SCAN LOCKOUT

This function is to exclude and skip any repeater from the
scan targets when D-STAR repeater lists are scanned.
Group Lockout Setting
You can lock out all repeaters in a specific repeater group.
1 Access Menu No. 210.
World region selection screen appears.
2 Select a World region and press [ENT].
Country region selection screen appears.
3 Select a Country region and press [ENT].
Group selection screen appears
4 Select a group to be skipped and press [A/B].
The lockout icon <
>appears.
5 Press [PTT] to return to the frequency screen.
Individual Lockout Setting
You can lock out the specific repeaters in a repeater group.
1 Access Menu No. 210.
World region selection screen appears.
2 Select a World region and press [ENT].
Country region selection screen appears.
3 Select a Country region and press [ENT].
Group selection screen appears
4 Select a group and press [ENT].
Repeater list selection screen appears.
5 Select a repeater and press [A/B].
The lockout icon <
>appears.
6 Press [PTT] to return to the frequency screen.
Note:
◆ [FROM] or [TO] setting screen of the transmission settings can
be accessed even if repeaters are set to Repeater lockout.
◆ Even if repeaters set to Repeater lockout are registered to a
memory channel, they will not be the memory channel lockout.
