Verifying the functionality of a new motherboard installation
After you install a new motherboard and reassemble the system, you first need to verify all
functionality by using the single-use dongle to enter Service Mode. Be sure to verify the
motherboard functionality before transferring options to the new motherboard (described on
page

Entering Service Mode allows you to make sure that the new motherboard solves the problem
that you are troubleshooting. Service Mode is a temporary state that allows you to test the
motherboard. Service Mode is exited automatically when you expend the single-use dongle to
transfer options (see
page
Service Mode is not indicated on the monitor or the imagePRESS Server Control Panel but
is entered once you power up with a new motherboard installed and the single-use dongle
installed on the USB port.
