Secure the Expansion Enclosure Chassis and Top Cover in a Nonstandard Rack

Perform the following steps to secure the expansion enclosure in a rack that is not compatible with the semi-captive M5 shoulder
screws.

Steps
1. Remove the semi-captive M5 shoulder screws from the expansion enclosure chassis and top cover.
2. In a rack with without threaded holes, place M5 clip nuts into the mounting holes on the rack that line up with the holes on the
expansion enclosure and top cover.
3. Secure the expansion enclosure and top cover to the rack using the appropriate truss head screws.

Connect the SAS Cables

Connect the mini-SAS HD cables between the SCv360 expansion enclosure and storage system.

Steps
1. Use Dell Storage Manager to determine the number of drives that are currently accessible to the Storage Center.
2. Cable the SCv360 expansion enclosure to side A of the SAS chain.
3. Cable the SCv360 expansion enclosure to side B of the SAS chain.
4. Perform the following steps after powering on the expansion enclosure andstorage system:
a. Use Dell Storage Manager to add the expansion enclosure to the Storage Center.
