Uninstalling SnapShot

Once uninstalled, SnapShot cannot be used again until it is installed using
the key code or key file.
Prerequisites
The key code is required to uninstall SnapShot.
SnapShot pairs must be released and their status returned to Simplex
Data pools must be deleted.
V-VOLs must be deleted.
For additional prerequisites, see
information.
NOTE: If you uninstall SnapShot because of a spin-down instruction when
Power Saving, the spin down may fail if the instruction is received
immediately after the array restarts. If the spin-down fails, perform the
spin-down again. Check that the spin-down instruction has not been issued
or has been completed (no RAID group in the Power Saving Status of
Normal(Command Monitoring) exists) before uninstalling SnapShot.
To uninstall SnapShot without rebooting
1. From the command prompt, register the array in which the SnapShot is
to be uninstalled, then connect to the array.
2. Execute the auopt command to uninstall SnapShot. For example:
% auopt -unit array-name -lock on -keycode manual-attached-
keycode
Are you sure you want to lock the option? (y/n [n]): y
The option is locked.
In order to complete the setting, it is necessary to
reconfigure memory or reboo
t the subsystem.
Are you sure you want to start reconfigure memory? (y/n [n]): y
While in progress, performance degradation of host I/Os to the
array will occur.
Are you sure you want to continue? (y/n [n]): y
Memory reconfiguring started successfully.

3. Execute the auopt command to confirm whether SnapShot has been
uninstalled. For example:
% auopt –unit array-name –refer
DMEC002015: No information displayed.
%
SnapShot uninstall is complete.
