About Disc
The following disc types are available.
Dedicated software programs are necessary depending on discs to be used.
•
CD-DA (audio CD)
•
CD-ROM (mode1, mode2)
•
CD-ROM XA (form1, form2 of mode2)
•
CD-R/RW
•
DVD-ROM
•
DVD-R/RW
•
DVD-Video
•
DVD+R/RW
Handling
Handling the drive
•
The drive can be used at an ambient temperature of 10 to 35 degrees Celsius,
but use it at an ambient temperature of 30 degrees Celsius or lower for
long-period use.
•
Do not impact the drive while it is operating.
•
Open the tray of the drive only when inserting or removing a disc.
•
When a media read error has occurred, clean the disc.
•
The drive does not support data write to CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW
and other writable disc.

Immediately after a disc is inserted into the drive, an error message
•
such as "Not Ready" may appear to indicate that disc read or write
operation has not been ready yet. In that case, wait until the busy
indicator goes out.
Data of CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, and DVD+R/RW cannot be read
•
depending on disc type or writing conditions.
The drive does not support data write to CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, and
•
DVD+R/RW.
Check that the disc to be used has no dirt, scratch, or deterioration
•
due to ultraviolet rays.
