18.3. 4-PORT DIGITAL INTERFACE CARD
The 4-port digital interface card is equipped with DSP for voice data processing and ECO (dedicated ASIC) to build the DPT
interface, and it provides an interface with the PBX and processes voice signals. The installation of one 4-port digital interface
card makes it possible to simultaneously process voice signals at four ports.
18.3.1. DSP
The DSP has functions to compress and decompress voice data of voice mail units, generates and receives DTMF tones,
detects AGC, VOX and CPT, and controls the volume and playback speeds, etc. The number of installed channels is two per
DSP. Up to 12 DSPs (24 channels) at the maximum are controlled by the host CPU and iVDC (ASIC).
