System architecture
This configuration allows for the integration of 3
OPC server, which can run on a separate PC or on the management station server.
OPC connectivity for subsystems can be provided in two ways:
Generic OPC subsystem tool: No software development necessary, but lim-
ited functionality and requires more engineering.
For details, see the OPC Connectivity Guide (A6V10065253).
è
Specific OPC subsystem tool: Requires development of a Composer subsys-
tem tool (has been done for SIMATIC S7 and RCO R-Card M5).
Communication/connection
For the communication to/from the 3
Ethernet to the OPC server provided by the subsystem. This OPC server may run on
a networked PC or on the MM8000 Management Station.
