used (from 2 km with multimode fibre up to 95 km with G.652/G.653 fibre).
The following image shows a NK8000 network, which uses an OTN network as
backbone.

NK8000 is only one of the applications that can share the OTN network, together with
CCTV-, access control-, and telephony applications (not shown in Fig. 52).

It is possible to integrate FS NK8000 and management station products into a cus-
tomer's network, however you need to be aware of/satisfy the following requirements:
· Only Ethernet is supported
· The DMS PC (in general) supports 10BaseT, 100BaseT, and so on, but this de-
pends on the network card in the PC
· NK823x supports 10BaseT and 100BaseT, half-duplex and full-duplex mode, auto-
negotiation and auto crossover
· Each management station-PC and each NK82xx needs a fixed IP-Address (NO
DHCP)
· An RJ45 Ethernet outlet must be close to the facility
