Step Three - The Plug In Menu
W hen you turn your television on for the first tim e the P lug In M enu will appear. T his m enu sets
som e of the basic settings for your television. A com plete description of the P lug In M enu can be
found starting on page 22. W e recom m end you com plete the P lug In M enu item s before you start
using your television. But to begin watching your television right away you only need to run the Auto
Tuner S etup. T his lets your television learn the channels it is able to receive. To run the Auto Tuner
S etup follow the steps below .
P ress the buttons to m ove to AU T O T U N E R S E T U P
P ress the buttons to begin AU T O T U N E R S E T U P
To choose C ABLE (if you are connected to a cable system ) or AIR (if you use
an antenna)
To m ove to S T ART
To start Auto Tuner S etup
T he Auto Tuner will now m em orize all of the clear, active channels your television can
receive. T his will take one or two m inutes.
T he Auto T uner is finished when the m essage P R O G R AM M IN G O V E R ! appears onscreen.
Y our Q uick S etup is now complete. Y ou can now begin watching your television, or you can continue on
in this guide for more information on connecting audio/video devices, programming your remote control,
or using the JV C onscreen menu system to customize your television viewing experience.
