General safety precautions
To ensure human safety and equipment security, pay attention to all the precautions
marked on the equipment and instructed in the product documentation.
The "NOTICE", "CAUTION", "WARNING", and "DANGER" statements in this
document do not represent all the safety instructions. They are only supplements to the
safety instructions.
Local laws and regulations
Comply with local laws and regulations when operating the equipment. The safety
instructions in the document are only supplements to the local laws and regulations.
Personnel requirements
Personnel who plan to install or maintain Huawei equipment must receive a thorough
training, understand all necessary safety precautions, and be able to perform all
operations correctly.
− Only trained and qualified personnel are allowed to install, operate, and maintain
the equipment.
− Only personnel certified or authorized by Huawei are allowed to replace or change
the equipment or components (including software).
− Any fault or error that might cause safety problems must be reported immediately to
a supervisor.
Grounding requirements
− When installing the equipment, ground it first.
− When removing the equipment, disconnect the ground cable finally.
− Do not damage the ground conductor.
− Do not operate the equipment in the absence of a properly installed ground
conductor.
− The equipment must be grounded permanently. Before operating the equipment,
check the electrical connection of the equipment to ensure that it is securely
grounded.
Personal requirements
− Do not operate the equipment or cables during thunderstorms.
