To Test Radio Communication Between the FIU and the Remote Gateway

1. Launch Lynx. See Figure 2.

1. Click the Utilities bar (Figure 2, A).
2. Select the desired satelite from the list (Figure 2, B).
3. Select Gateway Information radio button (Figure 2, C).
4. Click Start Operations button (Figure 2, D). Certain gateway information should be displayed on the screen (Figure
3). If communication fails, the software will display a "fail" message (Figure 4).

Radio range can vary. Under normal conditions, a range of two miles should be feasible.
To boost radio range, mount radio antennas on masts.
If radio interference is a problem, please see the section below, "Changing the Frequency of the Radio".
