Checking Operation of the Magnet Rings

Confirm that the magnet rings are operating correctly.

Set the operating mode of the pedaling monitor sensor to "Pedaling mode" and then install the
batteries.
Make sure that the green LED lights for 10 seconds.

Refer to "Checking Operation of the Sensors" (page 8).

Turn the crank while the cover of the transmitter of the sensor is off.
Turn the crank at about one rotation per second for three rotations and then stop the crank in a location where the LED is
easy to see, and confirm that the LED is lighted green.
The LED lights for about three seconds while the cranks are rotating and for each rotation.
You can check the operation of the magnet ring for about two minutes after putting the batteries in.

Install the transmitter's cover and fasten it with the screws.
Use a tool to measure the torque when you tighten the screws.
• Tightening torque: 18 cN•m
