with your local mains voltage.
• Connect the appliance to an earthed mains socket. If required, use a suitable (min. 10 A)
earthed extension cord.
• Unwind the mains cord (and the extension cord, if used) completely before use.
• Make sure the mains cord never touches the hot grill plate, grill stone and/or pans.
• Keep a watchful eye on children, especially when the appliance is hot.
• Beware of fat spatting while grilling fat or juicy meat. Prick holes in sausages before
grilling.
• Before cleaning, always remove the plug from the mains socket and let the appliance cool
down sufficiently.

- Avoid scratching. Do not cut meat etc. on the grill stone.
- Only clean the grill stone as described in section "Cleaning".
- The grill-stone expands when heating-up. As a result, cracks may appear. This is a
natural phenomenon and will not affect the proper functioning. For that reason, such
cracks do not cause free replacement as specified in the guarantee conditions.

Grilling on the stone or plate

General
- Before use, spread a little vegetable oil on the
grill stone or on the grill plate (fig. 2).
- The grill stone as well as the grill plate are
suitable for preparing all kinds of mellow meat
and fish (gamba, salmon) and for grilling
vegetables and fruit such as aubergine,
(see fig. 1 on page 3)
courgette, paprica, tomato, onion, mushroom,
pineapple, apple and banana. It is not
advisable to prepare meat or fish coated with
breadcrumbs.
- For optimum results, do not put too many
ingredients on the stone or plate.
- Ensure that meat etc. is dry before grilling.
You can pat it dry with kitchen paper.
- Do not salt meat or fish before preparation as
too much juice would be abstracted from it
while being fried.
- To avoid meat or fish sticking to the grill stone
or grill plate sear it up for some time before
turning it over.
- If you intend to grill steak, it is advisable to start
doing just that, as the grill stone or grill plate is
hottest when you begin grilling.
- How well done the meat will be depends on the
kind of meat, the preparation time, the initial
temperature of the meat and its thickness.
- The grill stone as well as the grill plate are
suitable for kitchen use when preparing a
normal meal.
