Chapter 3 Switch Setting

• For safety, check that the personal computer in which the PCI bus
card is installed has been switched off. Then, remove the computer
WARNING
cover.
• For safety, do not touch other than the switches.
• For safety, do not disassemble the card.
• The static charged in the human body can cause the product to fail.
Discharge the static from the human body before setting the switches.
CAUTION
• Place the product on the electroconductive bag, which contained the
product, or on an electroconductive mat before setting the switches.
Failure to observe this could cause the product to fail due to static.
• Subjecting the product to strong stress inside may cause trouble.
Exercise caution to keep your hands and tools off other parts than the
switches in setting them.
• Do not change the switch settings unless necessary. Wrong settings
will prevent normal operation.
• Be sure to set station addresses. Do not connect the card to the
network before setting station addresses.
• If you have any question, Contact one of Toshiba service
representatives.
• Perform a power supply setup of PC as follows.
· Do not use the sleep mode.
CAUTION
· Do not use the power-saving mode.
When setup differs, this card may not operate normally.
