If one of the RS232 line is used on the NK822x to connect the DF8000 units, a
conversion from RS232 to RS485 standard is required. Various suitable devices
are available on the market. The recommended model is the I-7520 converter by
ICP DAS Data Com (http://www.icpdas.com/products/Remote_IO/i-7000/i-
7520.htm), which provides for the electrical conversion and isolation as well as for
the automatic baud rate and data format detection.

The I-7520 appears as a compact plastic box that mounts on industry standard
DIN rail.
The following connections are provided:
•
Standard 9-pin female connector (DE-9):
RX, and GND.
•
Screw terminals: RS485 line (towards DF8003): TX/RX pair.
•
Screw terminals: DC power lines from the included 230 VAC adapter.
