The DF8040 8-input module, illustrated in Fig. 17, is the module of the I/O family
for non-supervised digital input. It can be connected to a CPU module via the local

I C bus.

The DF8040 8-input module provides 8 digital inputs with galvanic isolation. The
input lines are configured in two groups of four (upper and lower terminal strips on
the module), as shown in Fig. 18 and Fig. 19.
The module is equipped with two lines of 8 terminals each:
the bottom line is numbered from 1 (left) to 8 (right) whereas the top one is num-
bered, in opposite direction, from 9 (right) to 16 (left), refer to Fig. 20
