Action: replace the module.
The whole unit doesn't turn on
1. Power supply voltage absent or too low.
Action: verify power supply voltage.
2. Voltage polarity is inverted.
Action: verify the polarity and exchange the poles as necessary.
The Inputs/Output signals do not operate properly
1. The I/O LED is permanently OFF.
Action: remember that LEDs can be switched off with a switch setting on the
DF8003 CPU. If the problem concerns one I/O module only and it does depend
on the switch setting, then the specific module may be faulty. If the trouble con-
cerns all modules of one unit, then the DF8003 CPU could be faulty. Try to re-
place the modules.
2. A group of I/O signal does not work, CPU Fault yellow LED flashing during start-
up when the DF8003 is powered up, this LED reports for 6 times the status of
the 6 possible I/O modules: two quick flashes indicates no response from the
module, whereas one long flash means that the module is regularly responding.
Action: replace the module.
