FIRE HAZARD
Before switching the device on, place it
on a level, stable, dry, heat-resistant sur-
face.
Never leave the device unattended dur-
ing operation in order to be able to in-
tervene in good time if malfunctions
occur.
DANGER! Risk of injury
from burning
The baking plate of the device becomes
very hot during operation. Only touch
the control elements of the device during
operation.
Only transport the device when it has
cooled down.
Wait for the device to cool down before
cleaning.
WARNING! Risk of material
damage
Hard, pointed objects (such as metal
spoons) can damage the non-stick coat-
ing of the baking plate. Only use the in-
cluded kitchen utensils, or utensils made
of wood or heat-resistant plastic.
Never place the device on hot surfaces
(e.g. hot plates) or near to heat sources
or open fire.
Only use the original accessories.
The device is fitted with non-slip plastic
feet. As furniture is coated with a varie-
ty of different varnishes and acrylics,
and treated with different cleaning
agents, it cannot be completely ruled
out that components are contained in
some of these substances that could
damage and soften the plastic feet. If
necessary, place a non-slip mat under
the device.
Do not clean using sharp objects or
abrasive cleaning agents.

5. Before using for the
first time
Remove all parts from the packaging.
Check that the parts are complete and
that all parts are undamaged.
• Clean the device prior to its first
use (see "Cleaning" on
page 25)!

comes very hot during operation. Only
touch the control elements of the device
during operation.
NOTE: you may notice an odour when us-
ing for the first time. This is a result of the
manufacturing process and is not a defect
with the device. Ensure adequate ventila-
tion.
1. Fully unwind the power cable 8.
2. Place the baking plate 1 on the base
unit 2.
3. Turn the temperature control 3 to posi-
tion 0.
4. Plug the mains plug 8 into a suitable
earthed wall socket. The control light 4 is
lit green.
