4.1.3 Writing Printhead Voltage

You need to write the printhead drive voltages to the EEPROM whenever you replace the printhead.
1.
Connect the printer and the host computer with a parallel interface cable.

Run the adjustment program in the host computer.

Input the customer data. (Refer to Section 4.1.2.)
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select ADJUST in the 1st menu. Then press Enter. The main menu

appears on the monitor.
Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select HEAD VOLTAGE WRITE. Then press Enter. Input the data for the

black printhead. The printhead ID (voltage) is marked on the left side of the printhead, shown below.

Write the black printhead ID (voltage), which is composed of 5 digits, as shown below. The first 2 digits
and the following 2 digits indicate the printhead ID for normal dot and printhead ID for microweave dot
respectively. The last digit indicates the rank value.

Press the Space key if you correct an incorrect ID. Enter "0" to exit HEAD VOLTAGE WRITE. The main
menu appears on the monitor.
If Enter is pressed, the initial ink charge is performed and the program returns to the

Select other adjustment menus using ↑ or ↓, or select RETURN TO 1st MENU to exit the main menu.

Move the cursor using ↑ or ↓ to select END and press Enter to exit the adjustment program.

Adjusted values are not stored in the EEPROM until the printer is turned off. Turn off the printer after
running the adjustment program.

The values are transferred to the printer when this operation is executed. Do not turn off the printer
before exiting HEAD VOLTAGE WRITE.
