2.2.6.1 Pump Mechanism

The PF motor also functions as the pump motor when the PF motor drive disengage mechanism
switches its operation. When the CR unit returns to the home position, its switch lever pushes the cam
lever. The disengage gear switches torque from the ASF to the pump mechanism via the gear train.
Figure 2-11 illustrates how the torque is transmitted from the paper feed mechanism to the pump
mechanism.
