Chapter 7 Maintenance

The operation of CIF module can be diagnosed by checking the LEDs.

LED

CH1

The diagnosis procedure when there is an error is as follows:

(1) CH1-LED is not lit at receive timing.

(2) CH1-LED is lit but data cannot received

(3) CH1-LED is not lit at transmit timing.

Function

Lit when transmitting or receiving

・ Check that the RXD signal line, SG line are connected.

・ Check that the connected device is operating normally.

・ Check the controller program to determine whether the receive program is

operating.

・ Check the status information to see if there is receive error.

・ If there is receive error, check whether the baud rate, parity, data bit length,

and stop bit setting made with the switches on the front matches the setting of

the connected device.

・ Check the controller program to determine that the transmit program is

operating.

・ If status information indicates an error, check that the trailing code of the

transmit data matches the trailing code set in the CIF module.
