The battery appearance is for reference only.

In the figure, the circuit breaker panel of the battery cabinet has been removed. Before
removing the circuit breaker panel, knock off the cover on the CIM indicator hole on the panel.

If battery cabinets are combined, remove the side panels between battery cabinets.
•
If the battery string is configured with the neutral wire, measure the currents of the positive and
negative battery string cables. If the battery string is not configured with the neutral wire,
measure the current of either the positive or negative battery string cable. The following uses
the scenario where the battery string is configured with the neutral wire as an example.
2.2
Installing a BIM
•
Voltages on the BIM cable are hazardous. Therefore, wear insulation gloves when
performing operations on the cable.
•
The red terminal is positive, and the black terminal is negative. Connect battery
terminals correctly.
1. Open the battery string switch. Connect the positive and negative BIM cables respectively to
the positive and negative wiring terminals or poles of the battery.
Use an insulated torque wrench during
battery installation. The terminal torque
depends on battery specifications.

M6: 4–6 N· m
•
M8: 13–15 N· m
•
M10: 15–20 N· m
2. Secure the BIM.
•
Ensure that the attaching area is clean.
•
Ensure that the BIM fastener is evenly
and firmly attached.
•
Ensure that terminals are visible when
installing the BIM.
(1) Strip the adhesive tape from the
BIM fastener.
(2) Attach the BIM and press it for
more than 10 seconds.
