III. Fixing PIPU and TCPU
Welding Cables on PIPU
There are two groups of cables to be welded, namely handset cables and
MIC cables. The handset cables go from an RJ11 socket on the left
bottom to be welded onto J101 and J102 on the PIPU. There are four
lines in the cable .The welding sequence is of black, yellow, red and
green from top to bottom.(Note that the PIPU should face up. That is, the
side with DB9 jack should face up.)
The MIC has been fixed on the bottom. Two lines, one is black and the
other is red, go out to be welded onto J107 on the lower right part of the
PIPU. The red one should be welded on the "+" pad, while the black one
on the "-"pad.
The antenna should be welded on the land
Welding PIPU and TCPU
The PIPU and the TCPU are welded with 72 pin land.
As shown in Figure 2-2, place the PIPU in the right position and fix it by
four tapping screws(ST2.9*6.5), and then place the TCPU in the right
position and fix it by four combination screws(M3*16).
