Chapter3 ETS Maintenance Software
3.1 Overview
ETS maintenance software, developed by Huawei Technologies, Co., Ltd (hereafter
referred as Huawei), is to maintain the ETS FWT on the PC. It can run on a Windows
platform, and can provide the software upgrade function for the terminal.

If it is the first time for you to install the maintenance software, unzip the software installation package
and then run the setup.exe. If you have installed an old version, it is recommended that you uninstall it
through the Add/Remove program in your Windows first. Then run the setup.exe in the installation
package to re-install it.
3.2 Operation Guide
3.2.1 Hardware Connection
Connect the maintenance port of an FWT to the serial port of your PC through a
maintenance cable especially for ETS FWT. Power on the FWT and run the ETS
maintenance software.
3.2.2 System Configuration
Figure3-1 shows the system configuration tool.
