We recommend at least 6 (15.24
cm) for best venting performance.
Avoidplacing cabinets above the cooktop unit,
if possible, in order to reduce the hazards caused
by reaching overheated surface units.
Make sure the wall coverings around the
cooktop can withstand heat generated by the
cooktop

If cabinets are placed above the cooktop, allow
a minimum clearance of 3V between the cooking
surface and the bottom of unprotected cabinets
unless the underside of the cabinets above the
cooktop is protected with not less than 1/4'
insulating flame-retirdant millboard covered
with sheet metal not less than 0.012Y
( 0.031cm) thick.

cabinet. E the clearance is less than lW
(45.7cm), the adjacent cabinets should beat
least V (5.08cm) from the side of the cooktop.
ProperElectrical Supply
Youmust provide an adequate electrical supply
system as required for your cooktop.N1 wire
connections must be in accordance with local
codes and properly insulated. Check with local
utitityfor governing electrical codes and
ordinances. In the absence of local electrical
codes, the national Electrical Code, NFPA No.
70, must be followed.A copy of the National
Electrical Code, NFPA No. 70, can be obtained

120/208volt, 60 cycle electrical system @roperly
