IndraControl PR21 (-7KE1)
The Rexroth IndraControl PR21 is a mini industrial PC with Linux Ubuntu Core as its
operating system and pre-installed „IoT Gateway" software.
The IoT Gateway software connects machines and systems without any impact on existing
automation. The abbreviation „IoT Gateway" stands for „Internet of Things", and the term
„Gateway" refers to the interface aspect.
The core task is the collection of controller and sensor data independently from the existing
automation for transfer to higher-level IT systems for analysis.
At the extension module TS-AC E2-M3-1X, the IoT Gateway collects data of the bus coupler
and any connected digital and analog inputs. For this, the IndraControl PR21 must be
connected to the bus coupler via the network cable included in the scope of delivery.
