Setting the dialing mode (tone/pulse)

Your telephone must be set to TONE
dialing or PULSE dialing, depending on the
telephone line it is connected to. The
default factory setting is TONE dialing with
a flash time of 250 ms (DTMF).
Checking the dialing mode:
Press any numeric key. If you can still hear
a dialing tone, change to the other dialing
mode.
Changing the dialing mode:
To set the dialing mode to PULSE or
TONE, proceed as follows:
Lift the handset
Press the MENU key
Use the ARROW keys to select the
MODE option
Press the SELECT key
Use the ARROW keys to select the
desired option (TONE or PULSE)
Press the SELECT key
Press the MENU key
Temporary change of dialing mode:
While the telephone is set to PULSE dialing
it may be necessary to temporarily change
the dialing mode to TONE dialing.
• Example: You want to check your
banking balance using a telebanking
service. Make the call in the usual way,
and once the connection has been
established, press
will now change to TONE dialing. When
you have finished the call, replace the
handset and
automatically revert to PULSE dialing.

Other configuration options

There are other configuration options that
can be accessed by entering codes:
Lift the handset
Press the MENU key
Press the ASTERISK key
Depending on the desired option,
enter one of the codes below
• 10 deletes the entire phone book
• 11 90 ms flash time
• 12 100 ms flash time
• 13 270 ms flash time
• 14 375 ms flash time

• 15 600 ms flash time
• 16 MUTE (TX only)
• 17 activates music on MUTE
• 21 English language
• 22 Spanish language
• 23 French language
• 24 Portuguese language
• 31 1 second pause
• 32 2 seconds pause
:
• 33 3 seconds pause
• 34 4 seconds pause
• 99 returns to the default
configuration
Press the MENU key
Note:
If you accidentally select one of the
configuration options, you can use the code
99 to return to the default configuration.
