Vertical steam ironing

Hang the fabric to be ironed on a clothes hanger which is hung against a
heat-resistant surface .
♦
Insert the plug into a mains power socket .
♦
Set the On/Off switch w to the position "1" to switch the appliance on . The
integrated control lamp in the On/Off switch w and the heat-up indicator
lamp 3 light up, the "MAX" button z flashes .

Turn the temperature control 4 to set the required ironing temperature . The
temperature control 4 must be set within the
♦
The heat-up indicator lamp 3 lights up during heating . As soon as the set
temperature has been reached, the heat-up indicator lamp 3 goes out .

Adjust the steam power:
–
Press the "MAX" button z to create maximum steam .

Press the "ECO" button tto produce less steam .
♦
As soon as the "MAX" z or "ECO" button t lights up continuously
(depending on the setting), you can start steam ironing .
♦
Hold the steam iron in a vertical position and press the steam button 5 .
♦
Touch the fabric lightly with the sole of the iron 6 and steam it to remove
creases .
♦
Release the steam button 5 to stop the appliance producing steam .
♦
Put the iron down on the stand 7 on the base station q after ironing .
Set the temperature control 4 to "min" .
♦
Set the On/Off switch w to the position "0" to switch the appliance off . The
integrated control lamp in the On/Off switch w and the steam control lamp
"MAX" z or "ECO" t go out .
♦
Pull the plug out of the mains socket .
Refilling with water
You can refill the appliance with water while it is switched on .
♦
Put the iron down on the stand 7 on the base station q .
♦
Refill the water as described in the section "Filling the water tank" .
