Using the Setup Wizard

Network Address

The Network Address screen asks for the information that is necessary to connect a
DVC-2000 call over the Internet. There are three types of network connections to choose
from: DHCP, Fixed IP, and PPPoE. If you do not know which to choose or you do not
have enough information to complete this section, please contact your ISP (Internet
Service Provider) or Network Administrator for assistance.

DHCP

Choose DHCP when connecting directly to a broadband modem that offers dynamic IP
addressing or when behind a router/DHCP server configured for DHCP.
Host Name:

Network Address > DHCP
Your Internet Service provider may require you to provide a host
name to connect to the Internet. If this is required, you can enter
it here.
MAC (Media Access Control) is a unique identifier for the
MAC:
Ethernet network hardware of your DVC-2000. If you need to
know the MAC address of your DVC-2000, it can be found on
this screen.
