Power supply

The lights come on briefly but then go off and stay off.
Cause
The p rinter's voltage rating
d oes not m atch the voltage
of you r electrical ou tlet.
W arning:

Do not reconnect the power cord to an electrical outlet with the wrong
voltage for your printer.
The printer does not w ork and the control panel lights are off.
Cause
The p rinter is tu rned off.
The p ow er cord is not
p rop erly p lu gged into the
electrical ou tlet; or if you r
p ow er cord is not
p erm anently attached to you r
p rinter, the p ow er cord is not
p rop erly p lu gged into the
p rinter.
The electrical ou tlet is
controlled by an ou tsid e
sw itch or au tom atic tim er.
The electrical ou tlet is ou t of
ord er.
What to do
Check the p rinter and the ou tlet
voltage ratings. If the voltages d o
not m atch, u np lu g the p rinter
im m ed iately and contact you r d ealer.

Press the Op era te bu tton. Som e
control p anel lights com e on.
Press the Op era te bu tton to tu rn off
the p rinter, and m ake su re the p ow er
cord is firm ly p lu gged into the
electrical ou tlet and the p rinter, if
necessary. Then p ress the Op e ra te
bu tton to tu rn on the p rinter.
Use a d ifferent ou tlet.
Plu g another electrical d evice, su ch as
a lam p , into the ou tlet to check if the
ou tlet is w orking p rop erly. If it is not,
u se a d ifferent ou tlet.
