Connecting a television with a
VIDEO IN terminal

VIDEO OUT terminal
Do not connect the unit through a video cassette recorder,
because the picture may not be displayed correctly due to
copy guard protection.
Turn the television off before connecting, and refer to the
television's operating instructions.

COMPONENT VIDEO IN terminals

COMPONENT VIDEO OUT terminals
These terminals can be used for either interlace or
progressive output. Connection using these terminals
outputs the colour difference signals (P
signal (Y) separately in order to achieve high fidelity in
reproducing colours. The description of the component
video input terminals depends on the television or monitor
(e.g. Y/P /P ,Y/B- Y/R-Y, Y/C

the same colour.
To enjoy progressive video
1. Connect to a progressive output compatible television.
2. Set "VIDEO OUT (I/P)" to "PROGRESSIVE", then follow
the instructions on the menu screen
( page 23, "VIDEO" menu).
Optional antenna connections
Use outdoor antenna if radio reception is poor.
Note
• Disconnect the outdoor antenna when the unit is not in use.
• Do not use the outdoor antenna during a lightning storm.

• Stand the antenna up on its base.
• Place the antenna where reception is best.

or other convenient location.
• Leave the loop antenna connected.
