Cassette tapes — Play and Recording

Recording

Use normal position tapes.
High position and metal position tapes can be used, but the unit
will not be able to record or erase them correctly.
Preparation
1 Wind up the leader tape so recording can begin immediately.
2 Press [7, TAPE] and then [g].

Press the deck [;, OPEN] on the main unit and insert
the cassette to be recorded.
The tape direction is automatically set to "F q".

Press [PLAY MODE] to select the reverse mode.
: One side only records.
: Both sides record (forward  reverse)
While recording, if a track is cut off in the middle at
the end of the front side, it is re-recorded from the
beginning on the reverse side. At the end of the
reverse side, recording stops and the current track
will be interrupted.

Select the source to be recorded.
Radio
Tune to the required station.

 Insert the disc(s) you want to record.
 Press [DVD/CD q] and then [g]

Press and hold [*, REC] followed by [TAPE]
(main unit: [* REC, TAPE]) to start recording.

If the tape finishes before the disc
The disc continues playing. Press [g] (main unit: [g, –DEMO])
to stop it.

Erasure prevention
Use a screwdriver or similar object to break out the tab.
To record on the tape again, cover the hole with adhesive tape.

The volume, sound field and quality have no effects on

You cannot open the deck while recording.
You cannot fast-forward or rewind the deck while recording.
