About Infrared Data Communication
Infrared Data Communication is a feature by which au
c e l l p h o n e s u s e i n f r a r e d l i g h t t o f a c i l i t a t e d a t a
communication with other au cell phones. This data
includes Address Books, profile data, contents of data
folders, photos, movies, etc.
Using Infrared Data Communication
Align the infrared ports of two cell phones so they will not move
and are no more than 20cm apart.

●Due to copyright protection, not all data may be transferred.
●Dependent upon the type of infrared port being used, not all cell phones may
communicate with each other.
●Other circumstances may prevent infrared data communication from working
these include direct sunlight, being directly under a fluorescent light or other
infrared beams.

Receiving Data
<Example> Receive profile data.

From the Standby screen press and
using choose [Tools], then
press [Select].

Using , choose [Rem Cont/Infrared] and
press [Select].

Using , choose [Recv IR Data] and
press [Select].
The phone will begin to receive data.

If you wish to receive the data, use to
choose [Yes] and press [Select].
The data will be saved.
Sending Data
<Example> Send Profile data.

Display your profile data (refer to P.8-9) and
press [Detail].

Press [Submenu] and use to choose
[Send IR Data] and press [Select].
Data will be sent.
