Problem
Time and Date as shown in Windows 95
is not changing.
The Suspend/Resume Button does not work.
You have installed an external keyboard or
mouse, and it does not seem to work.
T r o u b l e s h o o t i n g
Possible Cause
1. Windows 95 Power Management setting is
turning o the clock.
1. The Suspend/Resume Button is disabled
from the Power Savings Menu of the
Setup Utility.
2. You did not hold the button in long enough.
3. There may be a conflict with the
application software.
1. The external device is not properly installed.
2. The operating system software is not setup
with the correct software driver for that device.

Possible Solution
1. Open the Power Control Panel and set Power
Management to Advanced.
1. Enable the button from the Power Savings
Menu of the Setup Utility. (See pages 69–72.)
2. Hold the button until you hear the acknowl-
edge beep. This can be a very long time if the
application is preventing the CPU from check-
ing for button pushes.
3 . Close all app l i c a ti on s , and try the But ton aga i n .
1. Re-install the device. (See Installing a Mouse
or Keyboard on page 88.)
2. Check the device and operating system docu-
mentation and activate the proper driver.
