Comparison (Spot) Mode

Allows you to compare the colors for two groups in order. You can register the group of colors (reference data) you
want to compare to the device in advance, and then select them before starting color measurement. You can determine
whether the color difference between corresponding colors between groups and the average value are below or beyond
the acceptable range that has been set.
Note:
The number of data groups that you can register and the number of colors in each data group are the same as for
Comparison (Scan) mode; up to 3 groups and 80 colors in each group.

Register the group for the comparison source color (reference data) and the value for the Passing Value to the
device from the Epson Spectrometer smartphone app or an app that is compatible with the device.

Prepare a series of color measurement items you want to compare.

Turn on the device.

Follow the on-screen instructions when the calibration instructions are displayed.

On the data group selection screen, use the navigation button to select the data group to be used as the
comparison source, and then press the enter button to confirm.

Select the color measurement icon on the menu screen to display the color measurement screen.
