Extra Heating Zone Accessory Pack
The Pre-Plumbed Slimline Cylinder comes as standard with one heating zone, feedback from our customers
concluded that in most cases this is sufficient, especially in the retrofit applications where the challenges of
splitting an existing system into separate hydraulic zones make fitting two zones impractical.
There are installations where two zone control is required, for example in new build properties, and to meet this
demand we have offered a simple 'plug and play' solution in the form of this 'Extra Heating Zone Accessory Pack'.
The following steps should be taken to ensure this accessory is fitted and commissioned correctly.
Hydraulic connections
1. Check you have the following components included with the accessory pack
• Honeywell 2 port spring return valve with wired plug connection
• 2 sets of pipe thermistors (2 flow and 2 return)
• 4 pipe stubs with copper sensor pockets
• 3 compression fittings
2. The zone valve and one stub pipe connect to the blanked off
compression T piece which is fitted to primary return pipework,
if required a 45 degree elbow may be added before the stub pipe
in order to bring the pipework tighter to the cylinder body.
3. The existing 2 port valve on the heating return will require a stub pipe
to be fitted for 2 zone configuration. This is due to the need to fit an
additional return sen- sor into the pocket factory fitted to the stub pipe.
A compression fitting is included for connection of the zone 1 return.
