Display the list of thumbnails for notebooks. Touch one of
them to display it.

Operations for inputting memos

In the KAKU Notebook screen, [u]/[.]
: The pencil case is displayed.

Input memos
: When the pencil case is simplified, touch [P] to display it in
the regular size.
1 Undo
Use to undo previous operation.
2 Pen
Select a pen to handwrite with.
Touch an already selected pen to change tips of pen,
colors of line, etc.
3 Stamp
A stamp you have just used is displayed.
After you select it, touch it again to display the stamp
selection screen and you can change stamps.
4 Image
Paste images.
5 Save
Save the content and end the operation.
6 Eraser
Erase a memo.
7 Text box
Insert a text box.
After you select it, touch the point to input at to display the
entry field of the text box. Touch [s] to enlarge/reduce
the text box. Touch [t] to make settings for the
background and text of the text box.
8 Voice memo
Record your voices and paste them.
9 Select
Surround an area and select memos, images, etc. within
the area to copy or delete them etc.
･ Selecting only part of memos, images, etc. is not
available.
KAKU Notepad
You can create memos by handwriting etc. on displayed
screens besides the KAKU Notebook screen, such as the lock
screen. Saved memos can be viewed in KAKU Notebook.
Basic operations in KAKU Notepad are the same as those for
inputting memos in KAKU Notebook. Operations that differ are
explained here.

Input memos
1 Scissors
Surround an area to be saved or shared, or cancel the
selection.
Touch the already selected scissors icon to switch
methods to surround an area.
2 Background image settings
Set a background image.
3 Share
Share memos.
The app screen may not be set as the background image
depending on the screen.
Calculator

In the home screen, [R]/[Calculator]

Calculate
When Calculator is closed, its memories are deleted.
Results or history information may be deleted while Calculator
is activated in the background.
SH tool
You can use convenient functions such as dictionaries.

For details on Contents Manager nP. 74 "Contents Manager"
When you use Voice Recorder or Camera reader for the first
time, you need to download it.
The icon of Camera reader is not displayed in the app screen
even after it is downloaded. Activate it from SH tool or SH
Camera.
Dictionary
Enter the keyword and search in the built-in or online
dictionaries.
By default, the following e-dictionaries are preset on the tablet
(Part of the dictionaries may differ from printed versions due to
computerization).
明鏡国語辞典MX 第二版 (Meikyo Japanese Dictionary MX
(2nd edition))
Containing approximately 64,000 words centered around
frequently used modern language. Wide range of new words
and information on wrong use are added.
ジーニアス英和辞典MX 増補版 (Genius EJ Dictionary MX
(expanded edition))
A major English-Japanese dictionary, which is convenient for
reading newspapers, magazines and various articles. New
words and technical terms are added. Containing
approximately 202,000 words.
ジーニアス和英辞典MX 第２版 (Genius JE Dictionary MX
(2nd edition))
A full-fledged words Japanese-English dictionary, which
contains approximately 67,000 words centered around
modern language and 84,000 examples for usage of words.
Also it contains wide range of proper nouns such as place
names and personal names.
